Random thought that occurred to me on today's walk

Possible future Gaskell's idea, riff on the Meiji "Gibson Girl". Pair my brocade hakama and plain kimono  with a ruffled blouse and boots and see if I can get my hair to do this:


Why? Because I CAN. And because it'll stop me from giving into the urge to buy five yards of silk and make a new Regency for the June 9 ball.....
