if we're all just artists here, why a separate Laurels group? or a separate WK Artisan's thing? this one actually makes less sense to me, because you're only a WKA for a few months. I _was_ a WKA, but I'm not now. So do I join the group? Do you leave the group once your gig is over? Even worse, the cool photos on the front page led to to something that someone posted for that group, but I couldn't comment on the photo, because I'm not a member of the group.
I'm guessing the ning app is set up to be a facebook clone, and you have to work with what you've got, but I agree with the other commenter - just one more thing for me to check.
And I don't take photos of my work, because food photography is 1. hard even in good light and 2. doesn't carry across taste or smell or the interaction of eating.
