The True Blood books are, well, trashy fun. They read like bad romances, but are very, very funny--especially if you grew up down South. (As in "OMG, I know these people...")

I remember that Bill was said to have "old-fashioned speech" but it's been a few years since I read the books. I think Stephen Moyer deliberate dropped the contractions, though.

Man, I have got to see that new "True Grit" movie. Everyone says it's good.
