I know, I know. In the meantime, I've got The World of the Shining Prince on order at the library, and another book, The Ink Dark Moon, a collection of poems by Ono no Komachi and Izumi Shikibu, is ready to be picked up today. Translated by Jane Hirshfield with Mariko Aratani.
