Hiogi 2.0 for your surfing pleasure.

OK, it was free software from the Gaius Auklandus Collection, which is why I have it in the first place, but FrontPage2000 is a pain in the ass sometimes. It has a tendency to change file names on embedded jpgs: "picture_2.jpg" suddenly becomes "picture 2.jpg" and there's prairie where your pretty picture was supposed to go!

Anyway, it's done and seems to work. I also checked some museum links on the kosode page to make sure they work for [livejournal.com profile] reynardine  as some of the Kyoto National Museum ones needed updating.

Torashi-dono gave me permission to add his new photo to Samurai Eye, as well. It is impossible for me to update that page without ending up with a stupid grin on my face. So many awesome friends, so much talent, and with a gamut of body types, nobody looks bad. Not one. They all look beautiful.

Great explanation of how you made your hiogi. The French site is interesting, particularly the picture of the closed fan wrapped in the cords. A few pics further on, there are some front-closed tabi that don't have the toe split.

So pretty... I need to work on mine. So far it is a pile of little sticks...
