And FUNNY. People remember the badass and tend to forget how funny he could be. I wish Criterion would get their mitts on "Aru Kengo No Shogai" and release it (especially since my Hong Kong import is of iffy quality). Imagine "Cyrano de Bergerac" set in 16th century Japan, with Mifune-san as the Cyrano character.
