Mope.

My striped kosode, the one made of some sort of unidentified rayon blend, the one in this picture. It is torn. Again. The damned thing is tearing at the sides beneath the sleeve vents in the front on both times. Damn, damn, damn, and damn again. I LOVE THAT KOSODE.

Trying to get motivated to pack for Cynagua Coronet. With the Bay Bridge closure, I feel certain I can expect getting there to take even longer than usual. I should probably go across San Leandro, hop 580 to 13 to 24 to 680 to 80 to 113..... And I'll still have to do my grocery run once I get to Woodland.

Rayon is so pretty and feels so nice and then it does that getting-tired-and-tearing thing...which is a damned shame.

Debating whether to attempt patching (from the inside) and attaching a partial lining, which will defeat its previous cool comfiness.

Just do some reinforcing on the inside of the tears. Also- when you wash it, use woolite or something gentle like that, then hang dry it.
Regular detergent and high dryer heat is damaging to the cellulose the rayon is made of- or so I've been told.
