Pleasing things, the Christmas edition
The card from James and Sylvia.
Being able to replace the contents of the sewing kit that was among the items stolen from my truck with the JoAnn's gift certificate from my boss.
Being able to replace the steel thread snips Katherine d'Aquitaine gave me at Pennsic two years ago (which were in said stolen sewing kit), at Daiso Japan for a princely $1.50.
Finding an email from Mom assuring me that the package of stuff to be distributed to my family arrived safely.
Roaming the internet in search of Christmas music that's less done-to-death than the norm to share with you.
Making a dent in my Twelfth Night sewing last night. The uchikake is beginning to look like clothing now.
trystbat 's risotto and
ladycelia 's truffle with absinthe (because one is plenty!) Not to mention the fine company.
A piece of gingerbread for breakfast.
Running into a next door neighbor as I lay claim to the laundry closet and being asked what I'm baking that smells so amazing. (Note to self, run down to Nob Hill and get another box of Ghirardelli mix and a disposable pan. I can whack out another batch and leave it outside his door.)
Being able to run in and out to said laundry closet in shirt sleeves on December 24.
The crick in my neck is gone.

Good price though, at $1.50. They are not bad, those 100 yen shop snips.
Merry Christmas!
