Bored!

Holding down the front desk in a half empty building. The phone hasn't rung in hours. I can hear Gracie coughing and she's all the way down the hall. To top it off, we're not closing early.

For [livejournal.com profile] ladycelia  in complete random disarray as I think of them, here are some non-Guy-Ritchie "caper" movies that I like.

How to Steal a Million (1966).

The Hot Rock (1972). Haven't seen it in ages and not sure how well it holds up, but I remember liking this.

Topkapi (1964)

The Thomas Crown Affair. Either one, because McQueen is just so cool. The Brosnan/Russo remake is also excellent, particularly the sequence at the end involving multiple Thomas Crowns in bowler hats. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sengokudaimyo  for reminding me of it in one of his recent posts).

The Sting (1973).

The Score (2001).

A Fish Called Wanda (1988).

Inside Man (2006).

You know, I've never seen "The Thomas Crown Affair". Either version.

Love, love, love {Topkapi" and "The Sting". Already mentioned how I feel about "How to Steal a Million". "Wanda" is good, but I haven't seen it since it came out, and I'm not sure how it would hold up. Ditto "Hot Rock".

The other two I was not familiar with at all. I'll keep my eyes peeled for opportunities to see them.
