Lucius Vorenus Sings!

Kevin McKidd, who plays the brooding Vorenus on HBO's "Rome" is a man of many talents. He also appears in the 1999 film "Topsy Turvy" as a dandyish, corset-wearing tenor.

Go here and click on Track 12 to hear what he sounds like.

Other familiar faces in the cast include Jim Broadbent, Andy Serkis (Gollum) and Shirley Henderson (HP's Moaning Myrtle) as a Victorian bad girl soprano.

This was a fun movie in a lot of ways. Gilbert and Sullivan operas are silly and sublime at the same time and TT captures that, as well as the trainwreck collision of Japanese culture viewed through Victorian sensibilities that resulted in "The Mikado."

I love this movie - it's one of my FAVORITES!! I force my husband to watch it and listen to me sing along :)

Yeah, there's something about watching Jim Broadbent leaping around his study with a katana while making cat-in-heat noises....

What was that about "Lucious" Vorenus? *GRIN*

I've always had kind of a thing for Moaning Myrtle. Am I a sickie, or what? Wait. Don't answer that one...

Actually, I'm rather partial to "The Cheerful Brutish One," even if I would have to kill him on a regular basis.

And we KNOW you're a sickie.

And this would be a downside how? *GRIN*

And we KNOW you're a sickie.
All part of my charm, m'dear!

Bam! "Dammit, you have got to stop braining slaves on the cobblestones. I have to kill you now."

"Titus my darlin', I'm sorry, but you really have to DIE RIGHT NOW. There's blood all over the kitchen floor AGAIN." WHAP!

Yeah. Right. He'd be way more trouble than he's worth....
