Saturday random addendum
Tart making, a headache and lack of eggs sapped my will to make a cheesecake. Two Advil and a nap definitely helped, however.
Although I still have two collars to attach on JAF's commission, I think working on something for myself is what I need right now, mentally, to de-funkify myself. Seriously. I've spent most of my summer and fall making things for JAF - who, bless his heart, is very happy to pay me what we've determined it's worth, I knocked out the "tablecloth" kosode and a couple under-robes in time for GWW, but I haven't made anything pretty since last winter. And let's be honest, kids. I do this for the pretties!

As it happens, this eBay find, one of those insanely high quality rayons that the Japanese produce, was woven in sections that are divided by bits of white, so I measured out how much I'd need for the body panels and pieced them so they'd be the correct lenght for an uwagi. Even though I didn't use flash, the photos do not do justice to the color, which is a pale aqua.
