The King's Speech

Why yes, I am a history geek, as a matter of fact. Just got home, having seen Colin Firth's brilliant portrayal of King George VI in "The King's Speech" and found - the King's speech.
As well as Edward VIII's abdication speech:

Very interesting. You can actually also hear the hesitation in the Duke of Windsor's speech as well, probably from emotion. There are a couple of spots in King George's speech where he does stop and seems to struggle with a word.

I really want to see the movie!

Anyone who has ever had any kind of performance anxiety should see the movie. Firth makes your heart ache for the painful humiliation of being born into a life that required him to speak publicly and root for every hard fought syllable he utters.
