Tanka challenge 11/1/12

The sky shakes out sleeves
In varied layers of grey
Against greyer hills.
The trees wait like sentries in
Their black liveried rows.

Waaahhh, so gloomy. I am now imagining a dark slate overcast late-autumn sky.

(Of course here the stupid happy city tree in front of our house has yet to even change color, much less dump its load of leaves to fit with your poem.)
