I tried.

I really did. I managed to sit through about 20 minutes of "Clash of the Choirs." And I just could not get into it.

This, I can get into.

You lasted 10 minutes more than I did. I was actually looking forward to it, but could not get into it at all.

I just went to the website for "Clash of the Choirs" and I have to say I'm glad I didn't know about it....was it as bad as it sounds?

Your YouTurbe video is lovely.

Why yes, I AM an old fogey.

It depends entirely on what one's definition of "choir" and "choral music" is. I heard some competent singing. I did not hear anything to make chills run down my spine. I could have done with out the cruel-yet-obligatory shots of Michael Bolton cringing at replays of some of the auditions too.

I am not affiliated with the group in the Youtube video - I simply started looking for the sort of pieces that DO make chills run down my spine and that happened to be quite a nice performance of the Josquin "Ave Maria."

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that you were affiliated with the group in the video. I should have said "the group in the video you posted" or some such.
