Thank you for your kind words. You're quite right, portraying a minority persona in the SCA is challenging. There are days when I feel like I'm beating my head against a brick wall. There are days when I am dancing on a cloud too. It all evens out.
Rising Sun could have been a recipe for disaster. I'd at least met most of my campmates face-to-face before, but you can't really know what it's going to be like until you have to share close quarters under less than ideal conditions for several days. We got lucky.
