Actually, during the planning stage, the menfolk said they'd pick up some sake. Knowing that they can be counted upon to bring enough sake to get a small army squiffy - and pick some that will be worth getting squiffy on, I resisted the urge to buy more while I was doing my shopping.

Those pickles, though. They were awesome. And Nippon-ya 's mochi assortment was worth splurging on.

The House of Cheerful Monkeys will host a sake party at Great Western War so my friends from down south can play too, but the picnic rocked and I definitely will do another one at some point.
