Yes it does. Right beside the tea house.

I have a little waterfall/fountain. Best I can do on short notice. Also, it would probably be drowned out by the generator needed to run it.

a kiddie pool should be easily disguised. Dunno about the fish, tho.

You can't use the lake at the GWW site for a koi pond. :-)

Remember how much (deep) water and shade real koi need to stay healthy...

Why not get a few of these (scroll down below "Ultrasonic Repellent):

Trust me, if I can figure out a way to do this, it will involve "zen" koi.

You didn't see where I was camped last year, Aeddie!

You mean like the under-the-sand critters in "The Invisible Enemy" episode of The Outer Limits?

Ooooh... howabout a sand-shark's fin cutting through the gravel in your zen garden?

:-)

I still like the surreality of the idea of real-looking plastic koi in a foliage-disquised wading pool.

Get out of my head, please - I WAS thinking about how to do an event-portable Zen garden too.....

Then we just need an inflatable teahouse.

Use foam rocks and a very thin layer of sand on a thin closed-cell foam mat. Cut strips of foam to make fencing to keep the sand on the mat once you put it together and scatter the sand on it.

Alternatively, if you don't care about actually being able to rake the garden, mix the sand with elastomeric glue, spread it on the mat, rake it once and let the glue cure. Then just roll up the whole thing.

No time for that this week anyway.

What the HOCM really needs is a hot tub, complete with bathhouse attendants. ;-D

Attendants? Hmmm.... Let's see: Torashi, Honda, Date, Otigiri.... Why didn't you mention this sooner? Not enough time to get them all together for ya.

As for the koi pond, you could go all uber-tacky and pick up one of those little kids motorized fishing games that fit on a TV tray with ease. Then again you are a paragon of the classy chick, so I would never suggest that to you. :D
