Democracy in action: Daddy's getting Sasha and Malia a PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Seriously. I had planned to wait and watch the 10:00 news and avoid endless hours of media masturbation and second guessing vote counts in venues where the polls were still open. I got in the truck after taiko class and the radio came on and I heard 204 to 135 - with our polls still open for ten minutes. No Michael York in bucket boots for THIS little girl after all.)
McCain's concession speech was a class act. (Coulda done without the booing by his supporters, but it's kind of to be expected. Those people were disappointed.)
The President Elect's struck all the right notes, including the one where we'd all better be ready to roll up our sleeves. Because we can chant "Yes we can" all we like, but it's just noise unless we WILL.
Still too early for results on in-state races and referenda.
Maybe I'll even stop grinding my teeth in my sleep one of these days.
