Thanks to karisu_sama  and didjiman  for a lovely evening and to mochimonkey  for excellent homemade mochi. 

The ginger cheesecake got raves (and I only got crumbs!).

Instrumental jammage of a mostly trad-Irish nature occurred, requiring me to dig out the old D whistle and play entirely by ear because transposing notation after two glasses of wine just isn't gonna happen.

In Which The Curmudgeon Stimulates the Economy

You couldn't make me believe the economy is in trouble judging by the crush at IKEA this afternoon. The small wooden corner shelf on the counter next to the kitchen sink had been listing alarmingly due to warping and I decided it was time to find a replacement.

There is a part of my soul that loathes IKEA intensely. ( The irritating couples who cannot steer a shopping cart without an in depth discussion, the screaming children, the blond wood.... )

It was a nice day. I didn't want to go home yet.( In which I spend too much money on pretties. )
