OK, that's two days called in useless. I'm done. Any time now.

I did sleep in until almost 11. After a big mug of lemon ginger tea and some oatmeal, I managed to stagger downstairs with two loads of laundry.

I determined how many of the Big Lots plastic Christmas buckets I bought last week can be filled out of a 3 pound bag of pistachios. One more bag should allow me to fulfill the office Christmas prezzie obligations in a sane, affordable and dare I say, relatively healthy fashion.

I removed a few archaeological finds from the back of the freezer, unwrapped their plastic or cardboard shrouds and made sure their frozen remains went down to the  Big Green Bin on one of the trips to switch laundry loads.

I submitted a class proposal to the Estrella Collegium - paint bucket taiko classes, to be held in camp. I may also submit a proposal to do a class on the rewards (and occasional pitfalls) of choosing a non-Western SCA persona. If you're on my f-list, attending Estrella and have a non-Western persona and would be interested in helping turn it into a panel discussion, shoot me a line before the end of the week.

I got a Happy Christmas email from Andrea, the young man from Italy who's written to me several times on Japanese costuming. Makiwaramania has its rewards.

I got the annual Christmas photo of my nephews. Brian (five) is the one on the left, Nick (nine) on the right.

PBS. "Keeping Score." Michael Tilson Thomas and the SFSO take on some musical greats. The Beethoven segment was brilliant. Stravinsky not my cuppa, but still worthwhile. Must dash downstairs RIGHT NOW for the Copeland segment before bed.

Check it out!
