Yawning.

Well, as long as one is not going to be able to sleep*, it's nice to get out of bed and find something like this in one's email:

From a member of the JML. "You certainly are a busy bee!  Thanks so much for the Kaga-chochin webpage and all your other updates. It's exhausting just checking out everything you post; I can't imagine how you find time to do it all! Keep up the great work and thanks again."

*The good news is that a break in the weather is expected by tomorrow. With the Woodland Highland Games coming up this Saturday, that's really good news.

To do

Apartment:
Do some spring cleaning, at least.
(Piles are accumulating instead of things actually getting put away.)

Truck:
Due for oil change. Make appointment.

Woodland Highland Games (this weekend):
Find all the components of my 17th c. kit. I THINK I put everything away more or less in the same place last time.  (I did. I pinned the cap to the kerch with my cap pins, pinned the kerch to the coathanger with the annular brooch. Everything was on one hanger except the corset and shoes. Sometimes I'm not stupid at all.)
Dig out communal serve-ware.
Pie. (There needs to be pie!) Acquire necessary ingredients and pray the temperature in the house is conducive no later than Thursday.
Handwork to take along. It's not as sexy as cannons and matchlocks, but having some sewing to work on in camp is always good.  (Hm, maybe if I dig out that brown linen I could make myself a new petticote. I have come to the realization that my 17th c. woolies are always too warm for the 17th c. demo events I end up going to. )
Check amplifier battery.

Beltane (next weekend):
Pick and pack garb.
Groceries.
Hurdy gurdy goes - I've done the Maypole ritual enough times that it is tradition. (OK, pack at least ONE European outfit. Sigh. BOOOOOOORING.)

NJ Trip (5/7 - 5/10):
Move sleeve buttons on bigass man's dress shirt. Decide which black skirt looks best with it.
Wrap wedding gift.
Choose reading matter for plane.
Pack.

Website:
Re-do two graph paper sketches. (I think I remember which bin the graph paper is in....)

Add Jidai Isshou no Nuikata to bibliography. Because I can. Bwahahaha. Their kosode construction info does not include the back-of-the-neck curve, which confirms my suspicion that my SCA predecessors got the idea from looking at modern vintage kimono. And my I-Have-Gaijin-Boobs-okumi curve is a modernism as well. They do offer improved fit in some cases, so I'll mention both the period construction and the modern variants for grins. Because I can. Oooh, let's add MORE text to that page, shall we?

Collect April tanka and save to a page.
Do "Putting it on" video.
Do instructions for paper hair ties.

Sooper sekrit gift:
Get ass in gear and make it.

Green silk from tatsushu and his lady:
Think of something exquisite to make with it. It taunts me so. I can tell you now, it will most definitely NOT be a boring old "Jehanne Green" cotehardie.
