Why yes, it IS difficult to convince me you've stepped out of a painting with kids toys strewn around the linoleum and a potholder sprouting from your shoulder.
It IS rather difficult to tell what your latest garb project is when it looks like you stood on one side of a dirty aquarium and pressed your cell phone cam to the opposite side to take that picture.
I could bring myself to live with your modern hairstyle if you could bring yourself to use a comb.
Your retainers should be beaten soundly for allowing you to go about in such wrinkled hakama.
EEK! A demon. Oh. Wait. You used flash, didn't you?
Did you get that child's parents permission to offer me that photo to post? No? Then I'm not putting it up on the internet. And maybe you should think about taking it off the forum thread you posted it to.
Say, the person who took that photo was at least a foot taller than you, wasn't he?
I got an email this evening with two photos attached to it. It resulted into a painfully polite email to the sender rejecting said photos and reminders posted to Tousando and sca-jml about how to submitting photos to Samurai Eye. A shame, actually, because it looked like his outfit had turned out rather well.
What's on Samurai Eye represents about 90% of submissions and I deem that a pretty high rate of acceptance. I understand that people want to show off their projects, because I do too. It's that 10% though.....
EDIT: So I wake up and check my email this morning and find several photos offered by a gentleman who does some of the most gorgeous SCA Japanese armor work I've ever seen. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you M.J. Peters, aka "Mykaru." Now THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! This does not suck either.
