Pleasing things
Sep. 29th, 2009 10:18 pm1. Being unable to decide which Yosemite photo I took gets to go on my desktop at work because there are too many beautiful ones to choose from.
2. Getting through a "hard" hour of taiko with Sean-sensei and thinking how easy it felt, compared to Sunday's hike. Well, I did use every single break in play to walk tiny laps around my drum to stave off stiffness in my legs.
3. Finally catching an episode of the Ken Burns National Parks miniseries, which, while breathtaking, pales in comparison with the real things. I need to daytrip Muir Woods and Marin Headlands, both so close there is no excuse not to. And I want do Yosemite again in the spring.
4. Getting a letter from the organizer of the Estrella Collegium organizer inviting me to teach "Beginner taiko and/or another subject that pleases you?" which tells me that said organizer wasn't just trolling through a list and may actually have had an idea who I am.
5. Getting an email from the Japanese re-enactor in Moscow.
6. The fact that daytripping Crown means not having to do the handcart ritual at Ed Levin Park and frees up Sunday for GWW prep.
7.Getting to bed at a decent hour with a hope of sleeping soundly.
