Tickets have been purchased for Sunday's Concert of Secular and Sacred classical Turkish music. These are the folks who are appearing at the Asian Art Museum for a lecture and demo the following weekend.
layla_lilah and I decided it would be worth catching them at one of their other appearances in the area. All your fault, Sasha, all your fault....

For my non-Bay-Area readers, it's pretty darn cold here. Some areas actually got a bit of snow last night, including that forest I was tramping around in yesterday. We did get a rather spectacular sunset with dramatic clouds - I was driving and not in a position to attempt to photograph it. all eastbound gifts wrapped, labeled and packed for shipping by this weekend so they can go to the PO.
Partial assembly of green Thai silk uchikake is complete. To be done: create and cut stencil. Stencil fabric. Assemble and sew in lining, attach collar, and hem. Thanks to
tatsushu and his lady for sending the silk to me last year. It's gorgeous.
White saya-gaga kosode needs sleeves and collar basted on for dip dyeing. To be done: dyeing. Remove collar, assemble and sew in lining, re-attach collar, hem.
Craft plywood order came in for Sugoroku Box 2.0. The ratio of packaging to contents was ludicrous.
