Sometimes life is good
Jul. 4th, 2010 09:58 am1. Opened my email this morning to find two lovely photos for the Samurai Eye page from a young bushi of An Tir, accompanied by the most detailed self-critique yet submitted.
2. Got out of the house before 8 AM and headed for Antiques By The Bay. It's now 9:54 as I write this, having returned home $40 poorer, having acquired a vintage lacquer plate (actual lacquer on wood) with a crane on it, a lovely two-tier lacquer bento with a summer grasses motif (plastic, but still pretty), and a dance fan in very good condition. Traffic is already starting to get silly thanks to Alameda's 3 mile parade route through town, but not too bad.

3. On that note, I am going to eat my pumpkin muffin from the Feel Good Bakery and contemplate some sewing before the garret gets too hot - as I expect it might today.
