Monthly skunk stripe recurrence has been dealt with.
Rice is cooling on the stove and will be mooshed into onigiri with umeboshi inside. I have some Asian pears off a friend's tree so we can cut one of those up at lunch as well. And I think there's still some squid "jerky" in a ziplock in the back of the fridge for snackies.
Proposal for two periods of taiko at GWW has been fired off via the event website. I requested Friday and Saturday afternoons, late in the day, on the theory that JAF (who says he's coming out from Colorado) and Katayama-dono (who is likely to attend) - and anyone else, of course - might actually be able to play after fighting gets done.

layla_lilah because we'd been in touch about daytripping Purgatorio, I'd asked if she'd seen Scott Pilgrim, and we decided to catch it, after a plate of Combat Mac'n'cheese at Rudy's Can't Fail Cafe, where there's always punk blasting on the sound system, and the tables have bits of toys embedded in lucite. (Last night it was old "Barrel of Monkeys" pieces, while the table next to us had bits of Barbie doll in it.)
I understand some reviewers hated this movie, but I really enjoyed it, and that's saying something considering how pissed I got when they took three really great pinball machines out of the Rutgers Student Center to make room for Space Invaders and Centipede. I've never been able to get into video games myself. It was funny, smart and ok, my ears were ringing through most of it, but sweet, even. Besides, their avatar generator thinks I'm awesome.
