Got up this morning, saw gusty winds in the 20-30mph range predicted and decided there was no way I was biking to work today. Neck, shoulders and upper arms are still sore from all the o-daiko work I did on Tuesday and I have Beltane packing to finish tonight. I recalled that there's a chair massage booth at the Marketplace, but I'm usually there very early on weekend mornings and it's never been staffed at that time. I decided to try it on my way home from work. Had to wait for a previous customer to finish, so I picked up some rosemary at the organic grocery and browsed the kitchen shop (very high end, but they do have old school crank egg-beaters). Did a ten minute session for $15 and feel MUCH better. The woman who worked on me was very good. (Her name badge only had a first name and in smaller print "chiropractor," so I just did a 'net search with the clues I had and have identified her.) She said "we" were open from 11 to 7 daily and when I mentioned it to my neighbor on the way in the house, he said his girl friend liked "The Asian Guy", so presumably there are several practitioners who put in some part time duty. It's all cash, walk-in only business and I though I got good value, so I'd do it again.

Beltane this weekend, and as usual, the Head of Court for Their Highnesses left it to the last minute to ask who was coming and I probably won't even see a schedule as to who's attending them when by the time I leave for the event. (Is HOC going? No. This could prove interesting, especially as not a whole lot of people have checked in with a yea or nay at this hour.)

Did not have time to construct a proper butsudan, but the Flea Market Buddha is coming and I have some mandarin oranges and incense and will have a little spot for him in my camp. Vail's Boy's Day box is loaded into the back of the truck already.

And on that note, I should eat something and start packing my clothes for the weekend.

EDIT: Won't order the wakame maguro salad from Sushi King again - way too frigging spicy.

Branches wave wildly
And shutters rattle protest
At the seaborne gale.
What kind of spring is this that
Tears at my hair and clothing?
