In one house, I had ants that marched straight inside the freezer. (obviously, it wasn't a tight seal). And they all died pretty fast. But enough of them kept going that we found a steady trail in the morning.
Most years, this house gets ants after the first big rain. They come inside & go for a random different spot in the kitchen or bathroom, often heading towards water. I don't understand it.
