I just tried as kindly and as realistically as possible to convince someone that maybe she should actually read all the information we've been sending her for months and think about it. It took me six years to get from rudimentary informal dress to the Full Monty. With several rethinks and rebuilds along the way as my skills improved and I understood more about what it was I was trying to do. And the knowledge that it's STILL not right.

My gut feeling is that I've just wasted my time.
