gurdymonkeyI guess standing around with a bowl in my hands occasionally giving it a gentle shake in the hopes that someone hears the clink of change is too subtle. Nonetheless, I collected $28, which, in addition to my pledge, brings us to $78. There were also a number of people who looked embarrassed and confessed their cash was not on them at the moment. I just posted a thank you to the kingdom and principality lists:
No bountiful feast.
No drink served by fair spirits.
An empty bowl waits.
Saionji no Hanae thanks a thousand times those who looked beyond the momentous deeds of the tourney and the many delights of the day and saw the begging bowl in her hands. I will be sending a check in the amount of $78.00 to Bay Area Food Banks this week.

I bugged out after finals, it having gotten very cold and windy. I made a run to Ranch 99 on my way home to buy sake and treats for the HOCM party at Great Western War on Saturday night.
Laundry is cycling. I hope the weather is decent tomorrow for a jaunt up to Muir Woods.
