All packed except for clothing and what has to come out of the kitchen and go into the cooler tomorrow AM. Found a lonely bottle of Jinyu behind the Kurosawa. Holy freaking wow, I think that's been in there since October. Tasted it. Sighed and poured it down the sink. It's actually drinkable. Sorta. But it's not Jinyu.

Please go enjoy the latest from [livejournal.com profile] didjiman  if you are not on his F-list. http://didjiman.livejournal.com/470015.html

Reminds me of prowling around my sister's kitchen with this hairy skateboard underfoot, giving me the "You gonna eat that ENTIRE piece of toast?" look. This is Jackpot, a longhaired Dachshund. Jack has been described (and not by me) as "so cute you wanna puke."
You know that thing Puss in Boots does in the Shrek movies? Jack invented it.

Cranberry Raisinets. I'm just sayin'. Which is why I had a small handful and put the rest of the bag in the back of the cabinet over the stove where I'll need the stepladder if I want more.

Recognize this guy? It's Aragorn as Third Amishman from the right. Witness was on cable last night. The movie mostly holds up. Ford and McGillis are incandescent and Weir has always known how to tell a story. Still have a soft spot for that scene in the barn with "What A Wonderful World It Would Be" on the car radio. Still pretty impressed with the performance of 8 year old Lukas Haas. The synthesizer heavy soundtrack by Maurice Jarre is sadly dated.  (Holy crap, just tried to figure out how old Mortensen was when he made this and it turns out  he's two months older than I am. Bastard. Oh, for cheekbones.....)

Yep, so cute!!!

Sorry to hear that :-/

(I had a similar reaction watching a video of Ladyhawke ::mumble:: years after the theatrical release. The armor and costumes were cheesy, but it was the throbbing disco soundtrack that really made it feel like a made-for-TV movie (and this is coming from someone who likes Alan Parsons).)

There are things about "Witness" that make locals wanna smack a bitch. Which makes the movie better ;)
