Feh! I say again, feh!

Damn. The gold paint is taking a LOT longer to dry. It's going to be very slow going today....
Yup. Slow going. On the other hand, I have FINALLY used the last of the large jar of Lumiere gold that I bought in 2005 to make the "Shoot me" Kosode. I have another small jar which should be ample to finish this.
I treated myself to a chai and a muffin at the Beanery, which was full of older folks at 8:40 on a Sunday. It's the place my Dad goes to when he's in town because it's easy for him to find without getting lost, being a straight shot down to Park Street and Buena Vista. Don't know what the coffee's like, but they do a decent chai and they've been there in the Marketplace since before I moved here, so they must do a decent amount of business.
In between paint applications on the second hitatare ensemble, I moved a metric crapload of photos off my hard drive and onto an 8 gb flash drive I picked up on sale at Office Max for something insane like $12.99. It's only about a year since I traded in the old Compaq for the laptop and I hopefully know better than to create needless logjams on my hard drive if I don't have to.
I also went through some of the pages on Wodeford Hall so most of it is now at least using the same font and type size. Eventually I hope to fix all of it....
In the continuing annals of Skill Level 1, Ambition Level 10: I ordered a Buddha Board from Amazon.com for calligraphy practice.
didjiman said it's ok to start with plain old pencil and paper to practice strokes and stroke order, but I figure this'll let me practice with a brush and not waste paper and ink until I am practiced enough to use them. Ironically, the first time I 'd ever played with a Buddha Board was the day
jadecat (rooting in the In-and-Out bag) and
didjiman held an open studio about a year ago - and I happened to find this when I was cleaning up photo albums on my computer.
(Come on. DRY already....)
