Well, you've entered that decade where regular mammograms make a significant statistical difference in women's lifespans. (Younger than that decade, the picture is less clear.) And the radiation dose they use keeps getting smaller as the machines get better.

And so far, no other technique works as well.

I seem to recall that in the early days of mammograms, at some clinic or other the staff was passing out little stickers that said "Fresh Squeezed." Still makes me laugh.
