OK, I haven't read any of the Charlaine Harris oeuvre, but it strikes me that the same is true in Stephen Moyer's portrayal of Bill.
Some of the dialogue in the recent "True Grit" and "Appaloosa" has a similarly old fashioned, if less polished rhythm to it.
"Gettysburg" is terrific. I particularly liked Jeff Daniels as Col. Chamberlain, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again if I had a Sunday afternoon I could devote to the long haul.
