It was the hygienist, she said bleeding gums are a symptom of menopause and she was going at some plaque with something pointy when the subject came up. I have not experienced any bleeding when brushing or flossing recently.

When I first went there she was preaching the religion of a pricy toothpaste and mouthwash called CariFree. It came up once and she never mentioned it again. This may be more of same. I see Dr. H in December for an actual exam and we'll see what he says.
