I don't often dig out the camera at events. I don't claim to be all authenticity all the time, but there are times I don't want to view the world through a viewfinder or LED screen. However, Rolf and Aurora are Go Big Or Go Home kind of folks and their Coronation procession was suitably epic.
Siobhan bears the Queen's banner, with Connor on the right bearing the King's.
This one reminds me of the famous mosaics in San Vitale in Ravenna of Justinian and Theodora surrounded by their court.
Kindly note the size of Malyn, the young lady standing next to the chariot. She was on the OUTSIDE turn for the entire parade route and a rein broke during the proceeding. Kudos to Helga (the driver) and the other groom whose name I missed, for keeping things well in hand. No one watching knew there was a problem. We also had tilting at quintains on the list field at dusk. This was an iffy proposition with my little point-and-shoot and some of the results are a bit grainy. That said, I love this shot of Vincenzo - he took the quintain at a stately walk with a smile on his face.
The light was kinder on this shot of Mari chatting with Connor. Clearly I need more practice shooting at dusk. The F100fd didn't do badly, all things considered. EDIT: I should say Sir Mari, she's one of our lady Knights.
