An upcoming event I'm involved this weekend with just announced proof of vaccination or negative test for admission, in addition to the city's requirement for indoor masking. The majority of the responses have been very positive about the policy, but of course one loud-mouth was all "Don't go! They're forcing you to reveal your confidential medical information and that's illegal." *sigh* The event organizer did not sic his pit bull of a lawyer, my former apprentice, on them to explain their misunderstanding of HIPAA, although that might have been fun to watch.
Here's hoping the SCA, Inc. gets over themselves and does the right thing.
