gurdymonkeyAs suspected, our lack of hot water was simply a blown out pilot light, quickly and painlessly corrected. I will NOT have to use a stock pot to "shower" tomorrow.
Got a few errands run - including finding a watchband to replace the one that's disintegrating off my current favorite watch.
I FINALLY remembered to take a year's worth of plastic grocery bags to the store and stuff them in the recycling bin that exists for that very purpose. (Look world, Me Being Dumb! I know that sounds insane, but you can cram a LOT of them into one IKEA shopping bag. So I did. For a year. Because our marching army of lovely color coded bins in the alleyway say NO PLASTIC BAGS.)
Rammed enough pennies into the Coinstar kiosk to buy a few groceries. Asparagus is in season so I'm practically inhaling the stuff! Dinner can easily be an entire bunch dipped in some bleu cheese or ranch salad dressing.
I looked at air mattresses at Target, but didn't buy yet. I'm thinking something with a built in and/or battery powered pump would be good for Pennsic. I've never tried to do Pennsic from the West before and I'm going to have to plan just what can and cannot go depending on how much space on the kingdom truck costs and what I can carry through an airport.
