Amen. I did a whopping 32 minutes of typing - spread out over pre- and post-lunch, and answered the phone twice. once was a pre-recorded telemarketing call, the other a call after Llama left.
When I pointed out that it was a waste of a day, I was told "It's a workday, deal with it."
I did get to struggle with our invoice imaging system and approve a metric buttload of invoices, but that's mind-numbing in it's own special way.
And I accepted a sodden resume from a guy who walked in out of the rain without an appointment to talk to our Service Dept. Superintendent, who was, of course, unavailable.
Soko Hardware in San Jose is sold out of a lot of the big stuff (the last rice cookers and water boilers went out the door while I was there), but it still has a lot of nice plates, bowls, tea cups and a few sake service items.
