we were discussing some random sca politics the other night, and my comment was that D should act like Toshiro Mifune from his role in Yojimbo (my personal favorite).

we all had a good laugh about who else in the game would fit other roles from the same film.

seriously, is it wrong that I love Yojimbo more than Seven Samurai? most Kurosawa fans think i'm nuts for that. I can't help it. his character in that film is my favorite.

True story: I was in washing dishes while Rich, James and Kelly had popped in a video. I come out about 15 minutes in to the story. At about the 30 minute mark, I said, "I've seen this movie. Only it was in color and it had Clint Eastwood in it." James lobbed the box at me. It was "Yojimbo." At some point later in the film, I said, "Mifune-san makes Eastwood look like a p****y." I though Rich was going to spray popcorn out his nose.

I think my favorite role is Heihachiro in "Aru Kengo No Shogai." (I've seen alternate English titles of "Samurai Saga" or "Life of An Accomplished Swordsman")It's a little known adaptation of "Cyrano de Bergerac" to 16th century Japan and it's wonderful. He's funny, he's badass and funny at the same time, and he's heartbreaking.

Yeah, I'm kinda partial to his scruffiness, myself. In some wierd way, I think he's sexier and more interesting looking as he got older.
