A good day so far

Got a lot done this morning, work wise. (Home office payroll is cooperating, the guys aren't throwing too many fires at me and nobody has broken a phone yet today.)

Had a lovely lunch with Grace at Sushi Avenue - the local, family run joint up the street from work. Bento with gyoza and tuna sashimi, hold the rice, double salad, plus a freebie seaweed salad and freebie tuna in spicy sauce from the owner and mango mochi ice cream - because it's freaking hot today in the Bay Area.

Oh, and the State of California, which cannot fix our roads while charging us more gas tax than anyone else on the planet, did something righteous and civilized.

It is a good day indeed.

I saw that today while I was working out at the Y! (The gym is the only time I watch the news because I'm a bad person.) I was grinning because they were showing the reactions of all the proponents of same sex marriage who had gathered at the San Fransisco city hall when the ruling was read--so many people hugging and kissing and jumping up and down. It was wonderful to see. :)
