Back in my day as The Stunt Tenor for The Tropes, I used to lead off on this piece. The sight gag was that our leader would turn to the audience to introduce the piece, we'd all whip out concealed Pixie Stix, pretend to wolf them down and hide them as she turned back. I would deliberately start at twice the speed she'd begin conducting at and we'd snowball even faster from there.
