It didn't rain today, so I came home, threw a load in the washer and inventoried the camping gear in the back of the truck. REALLY inventoried it. I found my missing 17th c. cap and the veil pins wrapped up inside a tablecloth in my camp box where it's been since April, and the fan with the red plum blossom motif, which I sorta knew was in there. Not much to throw out, not much to re-stock except for wet-wipes and votive candles.
I started painting the second banner and when I went to check and see if it was dry enough to do another coat, I discovered that the paint had caused the newspaper underneath it to stick. I was able to scrub the paper off without losing or smearing the paint - it HAD dried after all, but I can't do any more on it until tomorrow.
In the meantime, I am having a design conundrum as I look at the one that's dry and hanging on the banister. That demi roundel looks a bit lonely on all that black. So I got to thinking what it might be like with our name in kanji on it. And now, to run it by the kiddies on the Tousando.....
