Waiting For Amoxicillin
Sep. 5th, 2009 02:43 pmI've been taking it scrupulously since I picked it up from the pharmacy on Wednesday evening. Jaw is still swollen all to hell and gone, hot to the touch, and painful. Temporary crown is still pressure sensitive, though significantly less so as time goes by. Progress is by millimeters. However, I actually was able to eat some of the lovely party food last night.
bovil had gone all out with delicately tender pork loin done in several interesting and flavorful marinades and sliced manageably thin. There was also an amazing salad of mangoes and arugula from Whole Foods (a chain I've never really bothered to patronize because they are expensive and none of the locations around here are particularly convenient enough to make for the occasional special treat). Cheeses, flat breads to put said cheeses on, and
ladycelia 's exquisitely delicious Dark Matter watermelon from her garden, so named because it weighed more than a melon that size looked like it should. I was able to find a bottle of the Takara Kimoto sake to contribute to the festivities and we killed the bottle quite handily, so it was appreciated.
Slept in good and late, had some egg salad and a good cry over Richard Dreyfuss and Holly Hunter in "Always," and now I'm going to go treat myself to a Baskin Robbins milkshake and pick up some ready made pie crust because
didjiman does love my pie.
