I've been taking it scrupulously since I picked it up from the pharmacy on Wednesday evening. Jaw is still swollen all to hell and gone, hot to the touch, and painful. Temporary crown is still pressure sensitive, though significantly less so as time goes by. Progress is by millimeters. However, I actually was able to eat some of the lovely party food last night. [livejournal.com profile] bovil had gone all out with delicately tender pork loin done in several interesting and flavorful marinades and sliced manageably thin. There was also an amazing salad of mangoes and arugula from Whole Foods (a chain I've never really bothered to patronize because they are expensive and none of the locations around here are particularly convenient enough to make for the occasional special treat). Cheeses, flat breads to put said cheeses on, and [livejournal.com profile] ladycelia 's exquisitely delicious Dark Matter watermelon from her garden, so named because it weighed more than a melon that size looked like it should. I was able to find a bottle of the Takara Kimoto sake to contribute to the festivities and we killed the bottle quite handily, so it was appreciated.

Slept in good and late, had some egg salad and a good cry over Richard Dreyfuss and Holly Hunter in "Always," and now I'm going to go treat myself to a Baskin Robbins milkshake and pick up some ready made pie crust because [livejournal.com profile] didjiman does love my pie.

I think I saw Amoxocillin in the bar with Godot and Mr. Goodbar.

See you in a couple weeks at collegium.

Waiting for antibiotics to work is always a PITA. Your dinner of soft(ish) foods sounds like it would have been very tasty though, sore jaw or not.

If I am going to have a milkshake, I am not going to waste the calories on a bad fast-food milkshake. There's a B&R next door to my local Nob Hill Foods, and their jamocha is very nice in a shake.

Their peanut butter chocolate ice cream is my all time favorite in the world.

I've never made you one of those. I've never made one period. You're getting Asian pear tonight 'cause I had a bunch off a friend's tree.

I have a soft spot for the movie Always as it was filmed in my home town. John Goodman as the instructor in that movie is hilarious.
