Good and bad
Sep. 10th, 2010 08:24 pmGood: having a dentist who doesn't hurt me.
Bad: wondering why the **** I'm getting a past due bill when the initial one never appeared. Nor have I seen a statement from Delta Dental. Login to their website indicates no claim for the cleaning in July either. And I'm going to have to wait until after the weekend to call and find out what's up because he doesn't have Saturday office hours.
Good: getting four inches of ratty, tatty, damaged ends trimmed at the chain salon in the local shopping center by the nice Korean lady who and measures inches like men measure, well, you know, assuring that she never takes off more than i want her to.
Bad: being doused with enough spray-on conditioner that I look like I haven't washed my hair since the Clinton administration instead of, you know, THIS MORNING.
(I don't use a blow drier. I shampoo every two to three days, color every four weeks, and I use the conditioner that comes with the color kit. Occasionally, I treat my wooden comb with some camelia oil and comb my hair with it. That's it. But it means that a great many commercial conditioners are Too Much Of A Good Thing when applied to my mop.)
Good: Trader Joe's "Wine Country chicken salad." Not sure what chicken salad with cranberries and pecans in it has to do with Wine Country, but it was good.
Bad: not biking down to the shopping center this afternoon to get it because I appear to have pulled a muscle in my left calf and I honestly don't know how or when I did that.
