Wednesday musings
Sep. 29th, 2010 09:50 pmI haven't been out on my bike since last Tuesday. Got busy and then it went and got hot. There was no way I was going to try to ride to taiko last night. I wouldn't have had anything left for class.
MUST try to fit in a ride tomorrow afternoon, even if it's only a half hour. I miss it. Though I have to reglue a couple lantern handles and I'd like to get a collar on another kosode. I just finished the plaid one. The blue one is assembled except for a collar as well. I also realized I have a white linen one that I started on ages ago, however, when I pulled it out this evening, I discovered that it also needs a sleeve put on, the open edges under each arm and the front edges and hem done as well as the collar. No big. I like having hand work at events, so I can put a dent in it and have that one ready for GWW. I've posted to SCA-West that I'm going to be "begging" for the food bank again. No booze. No boobs. No fairies. Just the knowledge that pocket change can feed someone who needs it.
At least I got my laundry done and a pre-Crown grocery run in today. Living alone means usually having enough room in the freezer to pick up the block ice before hand. Picked up some of those nice frozen ahi steaks to marinate and will take those to share with the Miyakes since Sedany has decided she needs to feed me. I should throw the organic namazake in the cooler for Nobu-dono too. We always seem to end up knocking 'em back like salarymen....
