Kingdom A&S
Jun. 5th, 2011 12:37 pm(I must be outta my mind. Ahem.)
The House of Cheerful Monkeys invites one and all to partake of our fourth annual Japanese picnic during the lunch break at Kingdom A&S. Don't stand there admiring it from a distance when you can partake of the deliciousness.*
I will also be teaching taiko again, as well as several stitched-resist dyeing techniques.
*People do this. I had several people say so after the First Picnic. "It looked so lovely. I didn't want to intrude." (Face palm.) Please. Intrude. Help eat all this STUFF.
According to the schedule it's all going to be back to back to back. Resist dyeing, taiko, lunch. Which is good in that people's dyed pieces have the day to dry, but a little hairy in terms of getting lunch on. Ah well, I'll just have to make sure everything is set up to go as much in advance as I can. Will try to keep it simple this time: pickles, onigiri (which can be made in advance off-site), fresh fruit, tea. I can always collapse after lunch....
