Even garden shrubs
Have vanished in the greyness.
The world seems muffled.
Yet no ghost approaches me
In this all consuming mist.

Hi, I'm a friend of danabren and shalmestere. The former got me interested in the tanka challenge. It's been interesting to try and come up with something every day. So far, made all but two days. I like a number of your poems, but this one definitely spoke to me -- we have a small river that flows through and around the property, so mist is not an uncommon thing here.

Living where I do (two miles from the San Francisco Bay), mist is definitely part of the routine, particularly at this time of year.

I am so pleased people are enjoying the challenge.
