Wrap boys' prezzies.
Buy pantyhose.
Laundry.
Pack for Annapolis.
Triage refrigerator contents.
Take out trash.
Pick reading material for flight.

Projects to work on upon return: 
Finish hakama
Okedodaiko/shimedaiko out of cardboard tubing.
Cut bachi from wooden dowels (need six sets).
Acquire 5 gallon plastic buckets (two if I get the drums built, six if not).
Shoji lantern prototypes.

I'm selling my djembe if you're interested in a big drum. I don't know how it would work for taiko, though.

Djembes use much thinner skins (goat, usually) for the heads than taiko, which are usually cow or water buffalo hide. I'd be afraid it wouldn't hold up for being played with sticks.

yep, it's goat hide, all right. I'm still selling it, but I won't recommend it for taiko people. :-)

Fly safe! If you're doing Annapolis, I'll hazard a guess that you're flying either SFO-Dulles non-stop, or (hopefully!) Denver vs Chicago or DFW?

BTW - I at first read this and was puzzled as to why it scanned so poorly into any Japanese poetry form. Sigh.

Great, now I'm trying to think of how to write a to-do haiku!

Correction:
Oakland to Chicago Midway, then on to Baltimore Washington International, actually. Hopefully there will be no delays.

from your mouth to ATC's ears. (delays thru Chicago are... common). That said, there are worse towns and airports to get delayed in.

As for the to-do-haiku... Oh good! Chaos, distraction, brain-churn... my job here is done ;)
